Cordyceps militaris / Cordyceps Flower is a species of fungus in the family Clavicipitaceae, and the type species of the genus Cordyceps. Cordyceps flower have similar medicinal properties and chemical constituents (albeit with lesser potency) to the rare, precious and better known Cordyceps Sinensis (冬虫夏草). Cordyceps flower have a slight woody scent. They are suitable to be used in any Chinese soup.

How cordyceps flowers are used:

1. Add into any type of Chinese soup
2. Steep in boiling water for 5 – 10 minutes to make a tea.
3. Steam with chicken or fish
4. Grinded into powder and put into capsules
5. Added into bak chang (!)
6. In salads
7. Added into congee
8. Used in dim sum and dumplings
