Six-Flavour Soup is traditionally used to improve digestive functions, increase vitality and reduce dampness in our body. It can be cooked sweet with rock sugar and served as a dessert or cooling drink, or add in some meat to make it savoury, as a soup.
Ingredients: Chinese yam, Polygonatum, lotus seeds, lily, Gorgon, Longan meat, Poria
3 - 4 servings
Preparation:
- Rinse and drain all the herbs to remove dust and dirt.
- Pour in 2.5L water, meat and all the herbs in soup pot.
- Boil under high temperature for 15 minutes, continue boiling for another 2 hours under medium temperature.
- Season ti taste with salt/ soy sauce. Remove from heat and serve warm.
