JAPANESE RAISIN TREE
Dihydromyricetin (DHM) is a hepatoprotective flavonoid extracted from Hovenia dulcis, a Japanese raisin tree that's famous in the traditional medicine world. It's been used since the year 659 throughout lapan, China and Korea as a hangover cure. It accelerates the breakdown of alcohol and increases the activity of liver enzymes alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), which metabolize alcohol and its toxic byproducts faster.
When you drink, ADH metabolizes alcohol to acetaldehyde - a highly toxic substance known to cause hangover symptoms. ALDH then metabolizes acetaldehyde to a harmless byproduct called acetate, which is safely flushed out of your body. But luckily, DHM from Japanese Raisin Tree helps speed up this entire process so you can wake up feeling clearer and refreshed.
It is a rare medicinal mushroom which has long been used as a traditional remedy and a cancer preventative herbal supplement in Taiwan. Antrodia camphorata well known in supporting liver function and supports immune health. The triterpenoids are one of the most important active ingredients of Antrodia camphorata, it can effectively reduce the aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) values caused by alcohol induced liver injury and delay the liver cell fibrosis.
*AST and ALT can help identify toxins in the liver, liver disease, or liver damage.
Panax ginseng significantly reduces plasma alcohol levels after drinking alcohol, according to researchers in Korea, where it has been used as a traditional medicine for thousands of years. In a randomized crossover study, these researchers also found that panax ginseng that taken as a tea reduced expiratory alcohol concentrations in the short term (30 minutes after drinking), and it relieved a number of hangover symptoms in the long term. The investigators attribute panax ginseng's antioxidant effects to improving alcohol metabolism and relieving hangover symptoms.
Glycyrrhizin, a major active constituent of licorice root helps prevent liver damage. Researchers showed that glycyrrhizic acid from licorice induces inhibitory effects on hepatocyte apoptosis and liver fibrosis
REISHI MUSHROOM (LINGZHI)
High in antioxidants and has been used in Chinese medicine for about 2,000 years. Reishi mushrooms aid in liver detoxification and increase the flow of oxygen to the body. There is a growing body of scientific evidence that supports the fact that the polysaccharides found in Reishi have anti-tumor, immune-modulating, and blood-pressure-lowering effects.
Cordyceps sinensis has been known as an effective tonic in Traditional Chinese Medicine for illnesses including respiratory, renal, liver, cardiovascular diseases and immune disorders. It helps in relieving alcoholism and protecting liver. Also improves blood circulation, reduces fatique & improves stamina, as an adjunct to cancer treatments.
Ginger has long been used in Chinese medicine as an anti-nausea measure. Alcohol irritates the stomach lining, causing the classic hangover symptom of an upset stomach. Ginger helps digestion and can even boost energy. Also has anti-inflammatory and heart benefits
It has potent powers to neutralise the harmful effects of alcohol, thanks to the presence of fructose in honey, which competes with the metabolism of alcohol. Honey also helps in the digestion of alcohol inside a person's body.
